ALT + F11 should open VBA - but your error says hidden Module1 - meaning you might not even see the module in VBA for Excel. 

You might need lớn contact the source / developer of the file...

There are other possibilities lượt thích the tệp tin is corrupt or you have e.g. reference issues - without further details hard khổng lồ tell... 

What scares me is you write "someone received an Excel file" - hope this source is trustworthy! Especially in regards to your macro security settings
